Dhanush & Nithya Menen’s film D44 is titled Thiruchitrambalam

South superstar Dhanush is collaborating with filmmaker Nithran Jawahar for his next. The actor and the director are reuniting after a gap of 13 years. Actress Nithya Menen is playing the romantic lead opposite the Jagame Thandhiram star. The makers of D44 have finally unveiled the official title of D44. It has now been officially titled as Thiruchitrambalam.

Thiruchitrambalam is being produced by Sun Pictures. They shared the title announcement video on official Twitter handle. “#D44 is #Thiruchitrambalam,” read the caption of the clip.

Earlier in the day, Sun Pictures had shared pictures from the pooja ceremony as the movie went on floor. “@dhanushkraja”s #D44 shooting commences today,” the tweet read.

In the pictures, Dhanush, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja are seen clad in white veshti and shirts. Nithya Menen is wearing a white salwar-kameez with a dupatta.

The movie also features Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Bharathiraja, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Touted to be a commercial entertainer, Thiruchitrambalam is expected to release in theatres next year.,

On the work front, Dhanush, will soon be seen in Anand L Rai’s Hindi romantic drama ‘Atrangi Re’. He also has the Hollywood thriller ‘The Gray Man’, helmed by Anthony and Joe Russo in his kitty.
