Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines, ever since she compared Mumbai to the Pakistan acquired Kashmir. This comment of the actress was not received well by a section of the society and the Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Raut, including few other leaders. Former Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis reacts to the loggerheads and he says that even terrorists are given security in the land of the law to see they are not attacked, whereas Ms. Ranaut is still an artist.
Upon receiving several threats to not come back to Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut on Twitter revealed that she is coming to the city on September 9. According the latest reports, she has been granted with the Y-category security from the Home Ministry. Devendra Fadnavis while speaking to the reporters said, “If someone says something wrong, if their thinking is wrong, we can object. But it’s responsibility of state govt and those holding constitutional posts to protect their life & property. If it doesn’t happen, we’ll become a banana republic”.
“There will be no rule of law. If you don’t like someone’s opinion then take legal action against them but it is the responsibility of those who have taken the oath of the constitution to protect them. I think what centre did is right”, he added further.
For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut had earlier called out elite Bollywood celebs(who are involved in consuming drug clubs) and she claimed that Mumbai Police supporting these stars. The actress had slammed the city police in her interview, after which Shiv Sena leader, Sanjat Raut said that she should not come back.
