Demi Lovato Is Not Friends With Selena Gomez Anymore

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez gave fans friendship goals for years. The two met on the sets of “Barney & Friends” and went on to become Disney stars in their own right. However, the two seem to have drifted apart in recent years. When Selena Gomez praised Demi Lovato for her performance at the Grammy Awards 2019, Demi Lovato revealed that the two were not friends anymore.

Selena had welcomed Demi back with a heartfelt message back in January. She said, “I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspirational and DESERVED this moment was. Demi I’m so happy for you. Thank you for your courage and bravery.”

However, Demi Lovato has revealed that she is not friends with Selena Gomez anymore during a conversation with Harper Bazaar.

“When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her,” she said. “I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”

Demi has also revealed that she is not in touch with any of the Jonas Brothers. Her friendship with Nick Jonas also seems to have dwindled in recent years. While Nick and Demi went on a tour together and appeared on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, Demi hasn’t spoken about her former friend since 2017. The Anyone singer is also not in touch with her ex Wilmer Valderrama. Wilmer announced his engagement to Amanda Pacheco in January.

“I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives,” Lovato said. “But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be okay on my own.”

She continued, “When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don’t really get to learn about yourself.”

However, there is one former Disney star that Demi Lovato is still in touch with.

“I talk to Miley [Cyrus],” she exclaimed. “She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with.”

The two recently reconnected on Cyrus’ Instagram Live show, “Bright Minded.”
