Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich have called it quits. Their split comes two months after Ehrich proposed to Lovato in Malibu on July 22. They began dating in March. A source told People magazine that the couple decided marriage wasn’t meant to be.
As reported by a source to People.com, “It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
Another source told the magazine, “Demi and Max were basically together 24/7 for months. They lived in a bubble with zero stress, and everything was just fun. Now they are both working and are on separate coasts.”
As reported by the couple’s close friends, Demi and Ehrich started having problems over the last several weeks. This happened as they returned to work after quarantining together in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic. With the ‘OK Not to Be OK’ singer, still in L.A. and the actor, filming a project in Atlanta, they were having conflicts.
Sources added that the distance put a strain” on their relationship. Demi and Lovato’s break up comes nearly two weeks after old screenshots and videos in which Ehrich professed his love for Lovato’s once-BFF Selena Gomez, circulated on Twitter. He had gushed over Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus too. Lovato had slammed the social media posts in question as “fake” and “doctored.”
There has been no confirmation from Demi Lovato or Max Ehrich as yet.
