Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested an ISIS terrorist after a brief encounter near Ring Road in Delhi. The incident took place late Friday evening. The police nabbed him on Ridge Road between Karol Bagh &Dhaula Kuan. He was caught with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The police arrested him after an exchange of fire near Dhaula Kuan.
Pramod Singh Kushwaha, Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed that the ISIS operative named Abdul Yusuf was nabbed after an exchange of fire at Dhaula Kuan.
Security forces have been deployed near the Buddha Jayanti Park in Ridge Road area. This is the place from where the ISIS operative was arrested. They have defused the bomb. The ISIS operative has now been brought to the Delhi Police Special Cell office in Lodhi Colony. He is being interrogated at the Special Cell Office.
Commandoes from the National Security Guard and sniffer dogs are combing the entire area.
