Arvind Kejriwal goes in self isolation, has slight fever; to undergo COVID-19 test
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been displaying symptoms of fever and cough since yesterday afternoon. As per Times Now report, The CM has cancelled all his meetings and will undergo a COVID-19 test tomorrow. Kejriwal has isolated himself after doctors advised him to wait for a day before testing for coronavirus.
The report further adds, The Aam Aadmi Party leader canceled all his meetings yesterday afternoon and didn’t meet anyone either. The Chief Minister of Delhi also has a history of diabetes and is reportedly on insulin and other medication.
Arvind Kejriwal had addressed a press conference yesterday, announcing the opening of shopping malls, places of worship, and restaurants in the national capital from Monday.
“Places of worship, malls, restaurants shall open in Delhi as per the Centre’s guidelines. However, banquet halls and hotels will remain closed,” the Delhi CM had announced.
Kejriwal has also taken the decision in the last few days to reserve Delhi government hospital beds for the citizens of Delhi. But exempted those hospitals which carry out specialty surgeries.
Coronavirus cases in Delhi have surged past 27,000 while the death toll has surged to 761.
Covid-19 cases in India crossed the 2.56-lakh mark today after the biggest single-day spike of 9,983 cases.The total number of deaths due to the pandemic are 7,135, Union health ministry data shows. The total number of cases is 2,56,611 of which 1,24,095 have recovered and 206 people died in the last 24 hours.
