Delhi: Army Major accused of rape, murder by domestic help

In a shocking incident, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by Delhi Police against an Army Major on Sunday for allegedly raping his domestic help. Based on the statement of the woman the police filed a FIR against Major Gaurav. Along with the allegations of rape, the woman also alleged that the Major and another relative killed her husband.

According to the complaint, the woman had alleged that Major Gaurav allegedly raped her on July 12 while she was cleaning his quarters at about 10 pm. She added that Gaurav sent her husband to run an errand that night. After he left, Gaurav told her to go inside his room. When she opposed, he slapped her and allegedly dragged her to his room and raped her, reports NDTV. 

Soon after the husband returned, he saw Gaurav assaulting his wife and started a quarrel, as per the FIR. The woman then told the police that after this, the Major had fight with her husband and he allegedly killed him. The Major even told the police that domestic help’s husband had allegedly committed suicide.

As the police, the woman was working as a domestic help at Major Gaurav’s house in Delhi Cantonment in the servant quarters for last three months. While she used to do cook, her husband used to water plants and do other odd jobs.
