Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty are all set to unite again, for, ‘Cirkus.’ The actor-director duo have earlier delivered a hit film, ‘Simmba’, and have also collaborated for a cameo in ‘Sooryavanshi.’ The film is based on William Shakespeare’s classic play ‘The Comedy of Errors’, which revolves around two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth.
The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma. Now, according to the latest report, Deepika Padukone will also be joining her husband for the film, and she is set to appear in a brief cameo for a few scenes in the film. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, DP will have a special dance number and also some conversational scenes. The actress’s sequences will surely bring you down with laughter.
After Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding in 2019, this marks their second collaboration, the first being Kabir Khan’s sports-drama83,’ in which she plays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi. DP and Rohit have also worked together on a smash hit action-comedy film, ‘Chennai Express.’
Talking about ‘Cirkus,’ the team completed a few schedules in Goa and Ooty and are also looking to wrap up filming by next month and the makers are eyeing to release the film in winter 2021. The story of the movie is set in the 1960s and is presented by T-Series in association with Reliance Entertainment.
On the work front, Deepika will be seen in Shakun Batra’s next co-starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan again for ‘Pathan.’
