Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone, who hasn’t confirmed anything about her marriage with Ranveer Singh lashed out at a reporter for asking her a question on the same.
The actress attended an event organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation. She urged women to take care of themselves without feeling guilty about it.
Deepika lost her cool when a reporter asked her about her wedding plans. In response to the question, Deepika said that she was certainly not answering the question because it was an extremely insenstive question to ask at an event like that.
At the event, Deepika was discussing the remedies to overcome depression. She said that women have a tendency of feeling guilty all the time. They are always trying to be perfect for different roles so it is important that apart from playing those different roles, a woman also devotes time to herself and that to without guilt.
Even if she has to go for a spa session, women think about picking their kids from school or her husband must be coming home. But Deepika urged these women to take out time for themselves and without guilt.
Deepika has voiced her opinions on mental health several times. She has also spoken about the time when she was in depression. In a recent interview to a news channel, Deepika said that there is a stigma attached to mental illness. Deepika gave statistics saying that one in every three or four people is suffering from depression. She said that depression should be discussed like people discuss stomach ache.
