Bollywood’s ruling Diva Deepika Padukone after a year of hiatus is back to the grind mills. She has kickstarted the shoot of her next a biopic on Laxmi Agarwal an acid attack survivor titled ‘Chhapaak’. The ‘Padmaavat’ star is currently shooting in Delhi and pictures from the shoot are viral on the internet.
Deepika Padukone was recently mobbed by fans as she shot for the biopic on Janpath in the capital. Her prosthetics as Malti is truly commendable for she looked the part as she walked the streets in a yellow kurta.

Her resemblance to Laxmi is uncanny in the said pictures that have set the social media on fire.
Meghna Gulzar had earlier shared that we will not get to see the glamorous avatar of Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak but it will be a disfigured Piku star whom the fans will see on the big screen. The similarity between the actress and the acid attack survivor will leave you stunned.
Deepika who is also turning producer with the film in an interview to Mumbai Mirror had said, “When I heard this story, I was deeply moved as it’s not just one of violence but of strength and courage, hope and victory. It made such an impact on me, that personally and creatively, I needed to go beyond and so the decision to turn producer.”
‘Chhapaak’ also features ‘Mirzapur’ actor Vikram Massey in a pivotal role and will be releasing on January 10, 2020.
