Deepika Padukone slayed it at the Red Carpet of the recently concluded IIFA Awards in a Gaurav Gupta creation. The Diva looked gorgeous in the body-hugging mermaid-like gown with feather detailing at the hem. The ‘Piku’ star turned heads at the event but it was her comment on her picture that won hearts of the BTS ARMY.

Deepika Padukone shared her picture on Instagram teasing her look for IIFA 2019 and it went on to garner much love from fans. But it was her comment that caused a frenzy among the BTS ARMY. The BTS ARMY went gaga because Deepu’s caption was BTS member Taehyung aka V’s phrase. Deepika’s caption is a direct shoutout to Kim Taehyung’s phrase “I purple you”. Taehyung (idol nick ‘V’) has used the phrase a number of times at live concerts.
The social media was soon flooded with BTS ARMY showering some purple love.
Desi ARMYs are always on the lookout for shoutouts in the most unexpected places in the virtual realm. Not long ago, there was a clash between Marvel fandom and BTS fandom when Jin quoted ‘Avengers: Endgame ‘on stage after a concert. The BTS member said ‘I love you 3000’ to his fans.
We do not know if Deepika Padukone is a BTS fan but the ARMYs are pretty sure they are reading the evidence right.
