After Ranveer Singh’s fabulous look from 83, makers of the film have finally dropped Deepika Padukone’s 83 look as Romi Dev. For the unversed, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film 83 is based on Indian cricket team’s historic win at 1983 World Cup. Ranveer is playing the role of Indian Cricket team captain Kapil Dev while Deepika is playing his wife, Romi Dev.

In Deepika Padukone’s 83 look, the Padmaavat actress can be seen sporting short hair and wearing a high neck top while Ranveer donned official team blazer. The couple all smiles while gazing at each other.
Taking to social media, Deepika Padukone shared her first look from 83 and wrote, “To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour. I’ve seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband’s professional and personal aspirations in my mother and 83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband’s dream before her own… (sic).”
Ranveer also shared the same picture on his social media handle and wrote, “The Wind beneath my Wings. The Heart of the Hurricane (sic).”

Besides this real-life couple, 83 has an ensemble cast comprising of Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Jatin Sarna, Jiiva, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, Adhinath Kothare and Nishant Dahiya, among others.
Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 is scheduled to release on April 10, this year.
