Stranger Things actor David Harbour has joined the cast of the Netflix movie, Dhaka. Apparently, Chris Hemsworth is headlining the movie as a mercenary called Tyler Rake who is tasked to rescue a kidnapped Indian by from ‘one of the world’s most impenetrable cities’. Sam Hargrave, who is a stunt director, is debuting as a director with the movie Dhaka. The production of the movie is handled by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and its script is penned by Joe Russo.
According to an article published in The Hollywood Reporter, David Harbour will essay the role of a fellow mercenary (Tyler Rake’s comrade), albeit one with secret intentions. Harbour shot to fame because of his performance in Stranger Things as a jaded cop in a small town. Recently, he has recently wrapped up the show’s third season. Harbour will also appear in his first starring role in a theatrical film in the Hellboy reboot, which will be released in April next year.
Chiris Hemsworth was shooting for the film in India until November 17. He was welcomed to the country with an open arm. And among other things, an edible Mjolnir, his character in MCU Thor’s weapon of choice until it was destroyed in Thor Ragnarok. the Indian portion of the principal photography was wrapped today itself. Sharing his experience in India, Chris Hemsworth had posted a video on his Instagram account, captioning it, “That’s a wrap for the India portion of our shoot, next stop Thailand. Can’t say enough how grateful we are to the people of India for letting us run riot through the streets while shooting what I think could be some of the most intense and exciting action sequences ever done. Our director @thesamhargrave is bringing it to a whole new level ????? #netflix #india”
