Hours before Rajinikanth unveils the trailer of his upcoming film Darbar, there are reports started doing the rounds that his film will clash with two big Bollywood movies. If the report is to be believed, Rajinikanth’s Darbar will clash with Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn’s much awaited films, Chhapaak and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior respectively. Notably, Darbar is scheduled to hit the theatres on 10 January 2020.
Deepika’s Chhapaak and Ajay’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior have been in the news ever since their trailers were out. It would be an interesting to see all the three big movies locking horns at the box office on the same.
The news of Rajinikanth’s Darbar clashing with Deepika’s Chaapak and Ajay’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has been confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Sharing the same on Twitter, he wrote, “Clash CONFIRMED: #Tanhaji: #TheUnsungWarrior versus #Chhapaak versus #Darbar [#Hindi]… #AjayDevgn, #Kajol, #SaifAliKhan versus #DeepikaPadukone versus #Rajinikanth.”
Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak’ is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi who was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover in 2005 at the age of 15.
While Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ is a biographical drama set in the 17th century, based on the life of legendary Tanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapati Shivaji against the Mughals.
Talking about the Darbar, it is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions. It has cinematography by Santhosh Sivan, who is working with the Superstar after Thalapathi, and he regularly tweets about the Superstar and his dedication.
