Darbar: Nayanthara joins the sets of Rajinikanth starrer

South superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker AR Murugadoss have come together for their maiden collaboration ‘Darbar.’ The first schedule of the movie was launched early this month with a customary pooja in Mumbai. Actress Nayanthara who was last seen playing a double role in horror thriller ‘Airaa’, has been roped in as the female lead. She has joined the team from Tuesday in Mumbai.

Director Murugadoss who is teaming up with Nayanthara after a gap of fourteen years. The duo last worked together in the hit 2005 action film Ghajini. He also welcomed the actress and said that he is glad to work with her again.

‘Darbar’ is a cop drama, the film will see Rajinikanth play an IPS officer. The first look of Darbar was recently unveiled.

‘Darbar’, also starring Prateik Babbar as the antagonist, is set for a 2020 Pongal release.
