18 crew members of the dance reality television show, ‘Dance Deewane 3’ have tested positive for the novel COVID-19. The show is judged by Madhuri Dixit and choreographers Dharmesh Yelande, Tushar Kalia, and Raghav Juyal as the host.
A spokesperson of the Colors channel confirmed the same and said that a few members on the third season of ‘Dance Deewane’ had contracted the virus, however, they did not disclose the actual number. Currently, all the members are under quarantine and all the necessary safety procedures have been taken on the sets and also have been sanitized.
FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) general secretary Ashok Dubey was quoted as saying by to the Times Of India: “Whatever has happened is very unfortunate. We pray that each person who has been infected gets fine. This show always does a pre-test with the cast and crew and hence they had some time to rush in a new crew. Their next shoot is on April 5 and a pre-test will again be done. Only those who are COVID negative are allowed and hereafter too the same procedure will be adopted.”
He further said that Madhuri and other judges are doing fine. The crew members who have tested positive for COVID-19 include set workers, lightmen, camera attendants, assistant directors, assistant art directors, few contestants too, among others.
