Dalip Tahil’s son Dhruv arrested in drugs case by NCB
Dalip Tahil's son Dhruv has been arrested by Mumbai Police’s Anti Narcotic Cell for repeated purchase of drugs.
On Wednesday, Dhruv Tahil, son of the veteran actor Dalip Tahil has been arrested by the Anti Narcotic Cell of the Mumbai Police branch in alleged connection with a drug case.
On April 20, the police had arrested drug peddler Muzammil Shaikh and recovered 35 gms Mephedrone from him. The police then seized his phone and on the probe, his chats with Dhruv Tahil came to light.
Reportedly, Dhruv had purchased the drugs from peddler Muzaamil Abdul Shaikh and the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Crime Branch found his WhatsApp conversation of Shaikh with Dhruv, in which he had procured drugs several times between 2019 and 2021. It has also stated that Dhruv had made payment six times into the drug peddlers’ accounts for the purchase of narcotics drugs.
News agency ANI tweeted as: “Anti Narcotic Cell, Bandra Unit today arrested Dhurv Tahil, son of actor Dalip Tahil, in connection with a drug case. Further investigation is underway: Narcotic Control Bureau, Mumbai”

According to a report in IANS, Dhruv Tahil had also deposited money in Shaikh’s account with the Bank of India through his Yes Bank account six times for purchasing drugs. Police also said Dhruv was in touch with Shaikh from March 2019 till now.
DCP Datta Nalawade, ANC, confirmed to the Times of India and said that Dhruv Tahil has been arrested under the NDPS act and is currently kept at the Bandra crime branch. He will be produced in court tomorrow.
