As a matter of fact, Ronaldo has said earlier that one of the reasons behind his 100 million move to Turin was the reaction of the fans that night at the Allianz Stadium.
Real Madrid, which was his club back then already had got a lead in the match after the Ronaldo stunner. Dani Carvajal had pumped in a cross from the right flank which was acrobatically slotted into the net by Ronaldo in the 64th minute.
Eventually, the scoreline read 3-0 in favour of the Spanish club. Real Madrid then went on to win the Champions League title for the third time in a row.
Ronaldo, who is also a five-time Ballon d’Or winner is the all-time top scorer in the Champions League with 120 goals to his name.
