COVID-19 Updates: Positive Cases Tally Rises To 661 In Maharashtra
A total of 145 more COVID-19 positive cases and six deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra.
The entire world is in crisis due to the novel Coronavirus. India is also affected by the deadly virus. On January 30, India reported its first case of COVID-19 in Kerala. Later it spread to many other states of the country. Now, almost all the states of India have contracted the virus. Maharashtra specially the financial capital Mumbai is infected largely out of all the states. It is currently called the ‘epicentre’ of Coronavirus.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, a total of 145 more COVID-19 positive cases and six deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, according to the state health department. Now, the total number of cases has crossed 600. In Mumbai, 52 new cases being reported on Saturday night.
The government of Maharashtra is trying its best to curb the spread of the virus and to some extent, they have succeeded in doing so. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has been repeatedly telling the people of Maharashtra to stay indoors and maintain social distancing.
In India, there are more than 3000 coronavirus positive cases, more than 3000 active cases and a total of 104 deaths caused due to this pandemic.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also has been requesting the citizens of India to maintain social distancing. Now, to fight against Coronavirus, he has asked people to light lamps and candles, at their balconies and doors, for nine minutes tonight (April 5) at 9, while keeping the lights of their houses switched off.
