With emerging COVID-19 cases India records its highest surge in this year. More than 25000 fresh Coronavirus cases were recorded by the health officials, which leads to concerns about the outspread getting even worse in coming days. Maharashtra alone contributed with 15,000 Cases for 2nd consecutive day.
As per the reports, India added more then 24,882 fresh COVID-19 cases during the span of last past 24 hours, which makes it the highest daily rise in the last 83 days(ever since this year begun). The data issued by the Health Ministry this morning showcased that the number of fresh infection is nearly seven per cent higher than that of last week. The emerging cases take India’s overall COVID-19 load to 1,13,33,728.
The states that have highly contributed to emerging COVID-19 cases are Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu- these states have contributed with 85.6 per cent of the new cases, according to the government’s data. “Five states cumulatively account for 82.96 per cent of the total active cases in the country. Two states – Maharashtra and Kerala- account for 71.69 per cent of India’s total active cases,” said the Health Ministry’s report.
