Now the nation has recorded its biggest single-day spike in 2021(for the span of last 4 months) with 40,953 new cases. States such as Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka and Gujarat including few other regions have emerged as biggest contributors in the new COVID-19 wave.
On Friday, Maharashtra reported to record around 25,681 fresh COVID-19 cases (which apparently covers 60 per cent of the nations fresh cases). The concerns for Health Ministry rise after India added 40,953 new infected numbers in just last 24 hours of time, which makes it the biggest-daily-rise in this new year. The overall COVID-19 tally reaches to 1.15 crore (1,15,55,284) cases since the virus outbroke out in India last year, according to the Health Ministry.

For the unversed the last biggest single-day COVID-19 outspread spike was recorded in November 2020 with 29, 41, 810 cases in a single-day span.
