COVID-19 Spike: India’s Highest Single-day rise peaks to 2,61,500 fresh cases
In the span of the last 24 hrs, India recorded around 2,61,500 fresh Coronavirus cases and 1,501 deaths. This makes it the highest per day count ever since the pandemic hit the country
The pandemic of Coronavirus cases in India sees a rapid surge in the last few weeks. As per the data issued by the Health Ministry, the highest single-day count keeps peaking to a new level. In the span of the last 24 hrs, India recorded around 2,61,500 fresh COVID-19 cases and 1,501 deaths. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka including few other states have imposed night curfews and weekend lockdowns in order to curb the new spread.
Cities such as Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Pune and many others have emerged as the highest contributors in the new pandemic wave. Registering a steady increase for the 39th day in a row, the nation’s active cases tally peaked to the 18,01,316(12.18 per cent of the total infections) mark, while the recovery rate has dropps to 86.62 per cent. As per the government’s data, the total number of vaccinations stands at 12,26,22,590.

For the unversed, the Coronavirus symptoms have reportedly changed in comparison to the outspread last year. In this year’s new COVID-19 wave, the virus apparently enters the body quite slowly and its symptoms get revealed very gradually.
