With the outspread of the second pandemic wave, India recorded the highest ever COVID-19 surge over the last few weeks. The country is already dealing with Coronavirus-led crises. On the other side, the infection rate in India peaks to a whole new level. As of Thursday i.e April 29, the nation recorded as many as 3.79 lakh fresh cases making it the highest spike ever since the pandemic hit the country.
Owing to the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases several states have reported to be running out of oxygen as well as vaccines to treat the new patients. Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, West Bengal including few other regions have contributed with the highest number of cases. As per the data issued by the Health Ministry, India reports 3,79,257 new COVID-19 cases, 3645 deaths and 2,69,507 discharges in the last 24 hours. The total count of vaccination at 15,00,20,648.
For the unversed, the registrations for the vaccination began on Wednesday i.e April 28. The nation’s second-biggest vaccination drive to begin from May 1 onwards across all states. The government has urged people from the above 18-year category to get registered on the CoWin’s official site in order to get their respective two doses.
