PM Narendra Modi in his recent address to the nation confessed about India being in oxygen and vaccines crises. Many states have reported falling short on the supply of vaccines and oxygen to treat the increasing number of patients. The pandemic Coronavirus outspread has seen a rapid surge in the country over the last few weeks. The highest ever single-day rise has crossed the mark of 3,46,786 cases as of by Saturday i.e April 24.
Currently, India stands at the second position in the world after the US to have been worst hit by the pandemic. Making it the highest spike ever since the pandemic hit the country, Health Ministry reported recording about 3,46,786 fresh COVID-9 cases, 2,624 deaths, and 2,19,838 discharges in the last 24 hours.

To curb the rapid outspread of the Coronavirus, PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with 10 state Chief Ministers on Saturday. The ministers have reportedly discussed plans to control the outspread of the virus and about the supply of aid to the hotspot zones.
