COVID-19: Salman Khan Provides Financial Assistant To Film Workers
Salman Khan to transfer money in the accounts of daily wage workers from film industry once again
The second wave of coronavirus has once again brought India to a halt. As a result, most of the film shoots have yet again been canceled. The lockdown-like situation means a loss to the daily wage earners of Bollywood too. Yash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra has launched the Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative to support the film workers. Superstar Salman Khan has also decided to give financial assistance to them.
Salman Khan will provide financial support to Bollywood workers like technicians, make-up artists, stuntmen, and spot boys just like last year. The actor will be donating Rs 1500 each to 25,000 workers.
Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari told Etimes, “We have sent Salman Khan a list of names of the people in need and he has agreed to deposit the money.”
He further added along with Salman, a list of 35,000 senior citizen workers has been sent to Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films who has agreed to help out these workers.”
Earlier Salman Khan through the Being Haangryy food trucks initiative has been supplying food to frontline workers, health workers, cops etc. Rahul Kanal, Yuva Sena leader has collaborated with Salman Khan for the noble cause. He also revealed that the Bharat star had also helped by sending medical equipment, oxygen cylinders to the underprivileged.
Salman Khan and makers of Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai along with Zee Studios will also use a portion of the revenue generated by the Eid release to provide Covid-19 relief work across India.
