Singer Rihanna is the latest celebrity to donate for the pandemic that has hit the world. Rihanna’s non-profit organization, the Clara Lionel Foundation has donated USD 5 million (Rs 37.81 crore) for coronavirus response efforts. The funds will help to provide communities with critical protective gear, medical supplies, equipment and access to food.
Rihanna had launched her non-profit organization in 2012, in memory of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. It supports the Clara Braithwaite Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados.
