EXO members, Beakhyun celebrated his 29th Birthday and he got enlisted himself into the South Korean military services on his special day. The boyband has a massive fan following. Their fans in India apparently raised funds for COVID-19 relief. The second wave of Coronavirus has shown a rapid surge, following which the country recorded more than 4 lakh fresh cases in a single day. It makes it the highest spikes ever since the pandemic hit the country. Several nations have come forward to be a helping hand as India deals with the Coronavirus-led crises.
India is currently in the second position after the US, to have been worst hit by the pandemic outspread. EXO’s India fans have contributed with donations on Beakhyun’s birthday. Called EXO-L, the members have raised around Rs. 1 lakh reportedly. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, EXO’s Manipur fanbase revealed that Rs. 90,000 from the money raised was donated to Mission Oxygen and Rs. 10,000 was donated to Chief Miniter’s Relief Fund.
“With the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, life has been very hard for everyone. With all the hospitals being overwhelmed, it’s been difficult for the whole country. As always, we come together on every EXO member’s bday. This Baekhyun bday, we all decided to donate to “Mission Oxygen” to help hospitals across India get immediate access to oxygen concentrators. We raised a little over 1Lac in 3 days,” apparently read the official statement by the fundraiser.
