India's Coronavirus Cases Cross 1 Crore-Mark, 1.45 Lakh Deaths
India on Friday became the second country in the world after The United States to cross the 1 crore mark of confirmed coronavirus cases. Even though the nation is registering a steep rise in cases recovering from COVID-19.
The government in a statement said that the nation has seen rise in recoveries. “Recoveries are more than 30 times the active cases (currently only 3.14% of total cases). From 50,000 in May to over 95 lakh in December.”
This morning, the Union Health Ministry tweeted: “Central Govt’s calibrated strategies through a ‘Whole of Government’ approach have sharply focussed on high RECOVERY Rate and low Fatality Rate on a sustained basis (sic).”

The health ministry further tweeted, India has seen a “steep rise in recoveries”, the government said this morning.

India has registered 25,152 fresh infections taking its Covid tally to 1,00,04,599. The death tally stands at 1,45,136. But a dip in daily cases has been a positive sign in the country’s fight against Covid.
