COVID-19: India-UAE flights to remain suspended till August 12
Etihad Airways through its Guest Relations Twitter handle confirmed the extended dates for the suspension of Indian flights because of the Delta Plus variant of Coronavirus
Because of the peaking records of Coronavirus in India, airline services from foreign counties had imposed a temporary ban on the flights coming to their nation. On Monday i.e July 26, Etihad Airways announced the continuation of the suspension of India-United Arab Emirates (UAE) flights till August 12, the date could be extended further depending on the situation.
The temporary suspension on Indian flights by foreign countries has been because of the Delta Plus variant, which is reportedly more vulnerable in comparison to the other few variants of the COVID-19 virus. As per the current COVID-19 data, India recorded a decline in the outspread, however, experts from the health department have already alerted netizens about the expected third wave. On Monday, Etihad Airways Guest Relations while reacting to a concern of one of the passengers tweeted, “We’ve just received confirmation that flights from India are suspended till the 2nd August, and we are not entirely sure if this will be extended as it depends on the authorities.”
