India has reported a spike of 37,724 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the overall tally of the nation now stands at 11,92,915. There have been 648 deaths too reported in the last 24 hours.
There 4,11,133 active cases, 7,53,050 cured/discharged/migrated and 28,732 deaths say the health ministry in its latest update.
Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 3,27,031 cases and 12,276 deaths. The state’s capital city Mumbai has 995 persons testing positive on July 21, taking the COVID-19 tally surged to 1,03,262. At present, there are 23,893 active COVID-19 cases with almost 73,555 recovered patients. Mumbai’s fatality toll stands at 5,814.
Tamil Nadu has reported 1,80,643 COVID-19 cases, while Delhi has reported 1,25,096 cases.

The Karnataka government had enforced lockdown Bengaluru from July 14 evening to July 22. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa confirmed that the lockdown in Bengaluru will not be extended beyond 5 am on Wednesday.
