Recently, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in an intimate wedding at Italy’s Lake Como. Reportedly, the couple tied the knot twice, on November 14 and 15 and in two different rituals- Konkani and Sindhi respectively. Since their wedding was completely a private affair, fans were eagerly waiting for their first pictures as the newlyweds.
Apparently, as soon as DeepVeer shared their first wedding pictures on their respective social media accounts, fans just couldn’t keep calm. Both of them looked gorgeous and adorable and the photos clearly reflected their pure happiness as they begin the new chapter of their life.
Deepika looked resplendent as a Sabyasachi bride. For the Konkani style wedding, she had donned a red and gold silk saree. And for the Sindhi wedding, she looked magnificent in a red lehenga, which was also designed by Sabyasachi.
Notably, the dupatta that Deepika wore for the Sindhi wedding lehenga had the shlok ‘Saubhagyavati Bhavah’ written on it. But what will astonish you is the price of the lehenga. The said attire, which has been designed by Sabyasachi cost a whopping Rs 8.95 lakh. And yes, you read that right! Though very expensive for the commoners but surely not that costly for Deepika Padukone.
However, Deepika and Ranveer Singh will be hosting their first reception in Bengaluru, which is Deepika’s hometown, followed by two receptions in Mumbai, one for the media on November 28 and the other for the industry colleagues on December 1. If sources are to be believed, both Deepika and Ranveer have sent out invites to most of the celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
