According to the health ministry “focused and coordinated containment, widespread testing combined with supervised isolation and effective treatment have resulted in increasing recovery rates and steadily falling case mortality, these have ensured declining percentage active cases,” said on Thursday.
In the country, India currently has 6,07,384 active cases of coronavirus infection while the recovery rate among COVID-19 patients has gone up to 67.62%
On Thursday, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh were the five states that recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases. India’s count reached 1 million on July 16 which later doubled to 2 million in three weeks. It also said that the country has one of the lowest deaths/million compared to many countries.
