The COVID-19 Pandemic outspread has not been contained as of yet. The number of positive cases are rapidly increasing globally. A week ago, India acquired the second position in the list of worst-hit nations by the pandemic outspread. The nation has now marked more than 50 lakh infected cases.
According to the news reports, the number of novel Coronavirus cases in India has crossed 50 lakh on Wednesday i.e September 16. This is after the nation reported 90,123 new cases in just 24 hours. This increased cases took to total tally to 50,20,360 cases. It also includes 9,95,933 patients who are undergoing treatment and 39,42,361 who have recovered. With 1,290 additional deaths, the toll rose to 82,066.
Reportedly, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and few others have contributed towards total cases in India with around 53% Coronavirus cases. And these states have the highest number of cases. On the other side, globally almost 3 crore people have been infected by the virus. More than 9.23 lakh people have lost their lives to the pandemic since it surfaced in China late last year.
