Because of the widespread of pandemic Coronavirus, majority of shops and public visiting places were completely shut during the lockdown. The Government recently made the announcement of easing the lockdown in the unlock phase one, where few activities were eased such as transport system. As per the latest reports, the hair salons in Maharashtra will be allowed to reopen from June 28.
Apparently, the minister said there will be strict rules and regulations for the functioning of these activities, adding that no decision that has been taken on religious gatherings. The State Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar said that during the state cabinet meeting held on Thursday, i.e June 25th, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray agreed to allowing the salons to reopen with adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) about hygiene and cleanliness in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apparently, around 12 barberic shop owners have committed suicide due to Coronavirus financial crises. And thus, Government is trying to set the guidelines to help barberic shop owners to reopen their shops soon. Along side this, the officials are also said to be considering the re-opening gyms.
The barber shops, salons and beauty parlours will only be allowed to provide services such as haircuts, dyeing hair, waxing and threading. Any services related to the skin will not be permitted, as per the reports. Maharashtra has been in the list states to have worst-hit by the Coronavirus.
