Congress to launch Jan Sangharsh Yatra from October 2
With an aim to garner support ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Congress party on Friday launched their ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra Campaign’ from Kolhapur in Maharashtra. With this campaign, the party will highlight the failures of the Bharatiya Janata Party government both at the Centre and the state.
The campaign also aims at conveying the message to the people the Congress can offer to the people of the country and the state. The campaign was launched in the presence of Congress party-in-charge of Maharashtra Mallikarjun Kharge, state Congress chief Ashok Chavan, opposition leader in Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and other prominent leaders.
As per the reports, these leaders will hold public rallies across the state and aware people about the failures of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at Centre and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s government in Maharashtra. Adding on, the leaders will also speak about the solutions that the party would offer if they come into power in 2019.
The report also informs that the party would begin their campaign in from October 2 — birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi — from Northern Maharashtra. The yatra would cover parts of Marathwada and Vidharba region of the state in a three-and-half months time and would wine up in Mumbai.
