Rajkummar Rao is among the list of actors in B-town, who is known for mesmerizing viewers with their on-screen performance. The actor was last seen sharing the screen space with Mouni Roy in ‘Made In China’. He has now been roped in the Hindi remake of a south film, ‘HIT’.
‘HIT’ stands for ‘Homicide Intervention Team’ and the film is a thriller which was released originally in Telugu.
The actor in his statement said, “When I saw ‘HIT’, I instantly connected with it. It’s an engaging story, relevant in today’s environment. As an actor I am always on the look out to play characters I haven’t explored and ‘HIT’ gives me a chance to do that. I’m looking forward to take this journey with Sailesh and Dil Raju“.
The makers took to Twitter to confirm the news.
“The first case of ‘HIT’ tells the story of a police officer who is constantly fighting a battle with his past and his present. So it’s a troubled character. I wanted to cast someone who can bring that darkness to the role and still make the audience root for him with a mature performance. Raj can evoke that kind of response. He is a terrific actor ” said Kolanu in the statement.
‘HIT’ is now in its pre-production mode and it will hit the floors in 2021. The film will be helmed by
Sailesh Kolanu.
