Confirmed: Laxxmi Bomb, Bhuj and five others films head to Disney+Hotstar
It's Official: Sadak2, Dil Bechara, Bhuj The Pride Of India, Laxmmi Bomb, The Big Bull to release on Disney+ Hotstar
The Covid-19 Pandemic has hit not only the common man but also Bollywood in a big way. The reason being the Lockdown enforced by the government to curb the spread of the new virus. As the theatres are closed due to lockdown many studios are opting for an OTT release of the movies. After Sushant Singh Rajput‘s last film taking the OTT release route. We now have many other biggies following the same path.
Today during a virtual press conference ‘Bollywood ki home delivery’ Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan have finally revealed the list of the movies opting for the digital premiere. Joining the stars are Uday Shankar – President, The Walt Disney Company APAC and Chairman, Star & Disney India. The big releases will start streaming on the digital platform from July to October.

Here is the list of all the movies releasing on Disney+Hotstar
1. Dil Bechara:
The first movie of Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex will be Sushant Singh Rajput”s last movie “Dil Bechara”. It will start streaming on July 24. With an aim to honour the legacy of the late actor, the streaming platform is making the movie available to even the non-subscribers.
2. Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb:
It is an intriguing horror-comedy directed by Raghava Lawrence directorial. hTe film has Kiara Advani as the female lead. Laxmmi Bomb is the Hindi remake of 2011 Tamil hit Kanchana. Check out the poster shared by Akshay here.
3. Ajay’s Bhuj: The Pride of India:
Bhuj will also release on Disney+ Hotstar. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film stars Ajay as Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airbase in Gujarat during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, and Ammy Virk in prominent roles.
4. Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2:
Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2: will be joining the league. The news was earlier confirmed by Mukesh Bhatt. Sadak 2 features Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt in pivotal roles.
5. Abhishek Bachchan The Big Bull:
The Big Bull is loosely based on the life of Harshad Mehta. The film has been co-produced by Ajay Devgn and stars Ileana D’Cruz as the female lead.
6. Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase:
Lootcase revolves around a middle-aged family man who comes across a red-colored suitcase full of money. The Rajesh Krishnan directorial, features Kunal Kemmu, Gajraj Rao, Rasika Dugal, Ranvir Shorey and Vijay Raaz.
7. Vidyut Jammwal’s Khuda Haafiz:
It is a romantic action thriller film directed by Faruk Kabir. The film features Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in lead roles.
These are not the only films opting for digital release. After Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, we have Vidya Balan-led ‘Shakuntala Devi’, Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl’too doing the same.
