Bollywood Singham Ajay Devgn will soon be seen in the war drama Bhuj: The Pride of India. The actor will be playing IAF Wing Leader (retired) Vijay Karnik in the film. The Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial will have an OTT release on August 13. The news was confirmed by Ajay Devgn on his Twitter handle. Devgn not only shared the release date of Bhuj but also the character posters.
Ajay Devgn tweeted the character poster and teaser of Bhuj. He wrote, “1971. THE GREATEST BATTLE EVER FOUGHT. #BhujThePrideOfIndia releasing on 13th August only on @DisneyplusHSVIP #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex.’ Sanjay Dutt too shared the character posters and teaser of the film.

Bhuj is based on real-life events during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. It is about IAF base commander, Squadron Leader Vijay Kumar Karnik (Devgn). He along with other officers kept the Bhuj airbase operational and airstrip ready. He was helped by 300 villagers, who took up the task of repairing the only airstrip in Bhuj in 72 hours.
Sonakshi plays Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, who convinced the local women to help rebuild the runway in Bhuj. Sanjay Dutt plays civilian, Ranchordas Rabari aka ‘Pagi’, who helped the Indian Army win the war, Sharad Kelkar plays army officer Raghuvir Raina, Nora Fatehi plays Heena Rehman, an Indian spy staying in Lahore. Ammy Virk, a fighter pilot in the IAF.
The movie will be releasing on August 13 on Disney Hotstar.
