UP CM Yogi Adityanath Raises 'Love Jihad' Pitch, Warns Criminals With "Ram Naam Satya Journey"
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said his government will bring strict law to put an end to Love Jihad. The CM was referring to the Allahabad High Court’s remark that conversion “just for the purpose of marriage” was unacceptable.
Addressing a rally in Jaunpur for the upcoming bye-elections, Adityanath said, “Allahabad High Court said religious conversion isn’t necessary for marriage. Govt will also work to curb ‘love-jihad’, we’ll make a law.”
He added, “I warn those who conceal identity and play with our sisters’ respect. If you don’t mend your ways your ‘Ram naam satya’ (chant associated with Hindu funerals) journey will begin. We will go to every extent to make this operation a success. The posters of those involved in love jihad will be put on all road crossings.’

Yogi government has been facing flak due to the rise of rape cases in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is also launching Mission Shakti. This is to protect and empower women in the state.
‘Love Jihaad’ is a terminology used by Hindutva groups to allege that Muslim men, either forcefully or by guile, marry Hindu women with the sole purpose of converting them to Muslims.
