At least five people died and 21 injured after a hijacked bus in China crashed into pedestrians in Fujian province Today afternoon. One policeman is also identified among the deceased people. According to state television CGTN, the knife-wielding hijacker has been detained.
The bus crash incident took place in Longyan city at about 3:20 pm, as per the local Minxi Ribao newspaper. The city government informed that the suspect was put under police control and rescue work was underway.
As per reports, all the injured people have been shifted to hospital and police are busy probing the matter. Meanwhile, the clips, including the one purportedly showing police wrestling the alleged hijacker, are doing the rounds on social media.

It is to be noted that this is not the first incident occurred in China. In November, at least five people were killed after a car rammed into a group of children near an elementary school in Liaoning province.
