Earlier this week, two District Reserve Guards were martyred in an encounter with Naxals in Saklar village in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district. In another incident, a Naxal was, on the same day, injured in an exchange of fire which ensued between militants and teams of 206 CoBRA Battalion at around 7.15 AM in the forest area of Elmaguda village in Sukma district. A ‘bharmar’ gun and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) making equipment were also recovered from the militant.
This week, at least nine Naxals have been killed.
