Chetan Chauhan Demise: Cricketers, Politicians & Celebs express grief
Narendra Modi, Virendra Sehwag and others mourn loss of legendary cricketer and politician Chetan Chauhan
Former India batsman and politician Chetan Chauhan passed away on Sunday. He was admitted to a hospital in Gurugram after testing positive of COVID-19. Chauhan passed away due to COVID-19 related complications after being put on life support for nearly 36 hours. He breathed his last on August 16. The sad news was shared by his brother Pushpendra Chauhan.
Chauhan, who was 73, was serving as the Minister of Sainik Welfare, Home Guards, and Civil Security in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet.
The legendary player’s demise was mourned by cricketers, politicians, and celebs too:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed that his last rites will be performed on Monday.

Chauhan, who played 40 Tests for India, is survived by his wife and son Vinayak, who is scheduled to arrive from Melbourne.
