Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be honoured soon at the Cardiff International film festival 2019. He will honoured for the contribution to the world of his cinema. Nawazuddin will be given the Golden Dragon Award at the fest. The event will be most likely held starting from October 24 to October 27. It will be at Cardiff Bay, Wales.
Nawazuddin started acting in small roles. For instance Sarfarosh and Shool. Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur films in 2012 was the film where he actually made his mark. Since then he has been winning the hearts of the audience with films such as The Lunchbox, Liar’s Dice, Badlapur, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Mom as well as the web series Sacred Games.
Apparently, The Mom actor will receive the award at the final day of the festival. Rahil Abbas, founder at Cardiff International Film Festival said (CIFF),”Nawaz is our special guest.”
The Cardiff International film festival was created back in 2016 by Abbas alongside Andrea Moignard and Cheryl Ingram. Also, the festival jury and supporters include Florence Aiyisi, John Altman, Joe Ferrera, Keith Williams, Anurag Kashyap, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Norman J Warren, Kimberley Nixon, Jonny Owen, Maria Pride, Kai Owen and Matthew Rhys.
“I am very excited to be part of Cardiff International Film Festival and look forward to attending the festival, (sic)” Nawazuddin said.
The Gangs Of Wasseypur actor has many films in his kitty and is also gearing up for his upcoming films like Motichoor Chaknachoor, Roam Rome Mein and many more as well.
