Two people died and many more were injured after a knifeman went on a stabbing spree in Canada’s Quebec on Halloween. The suspect in his mid-20s was dressed in medieval clothing and armed with a bladed weapon. The incident happened in the area of Parliament Hill in Quebec. The suspect was later arrested near the city’s Old Port.
Quebec police said security has been beefed up in the area and emergency services were rushed to the scene of the incident.
“Shortly before 1 am, the SPVQ (Quebec city police force) arrested a suspect. They have asked residents of the city to stay inside with the doors locked because an “investigation is still ongoing.”
Spokesperson Étienne Doyon said the suspect is in his mid-20s. He said the five victims have been transported to a local hospital, with varying levels of injury.

The local administration is yet to make any official announcement on their conditions.
