South Korean boyband, BTS members are known for delivering record-breaking performances and they never fail to treat their fans with some soulful songs. Suga, who recently released his mixtape as AGUST D is already breaking several records with his solo tracks. This time around, Suga breaks the record which was set by his band member, RM on the Billboard 200 Chart.
As his rapper identity, AGUST D, Yoongi released his released ‘D-2’ mixtape on May 22 along with a music video for the title track ‘Daechwita’. Although one of is track, ‘What Do You Think?’ attracted negative attention(for using cult leader Jim Jones’ sermon in the introduction) he managed to garner many accolades for his solo tracks.
He has been breaking several records with his mixtape. On Monday ie, June 1, Billboards took to its official Twitter handle and announced that Suga’s ‘D-2 made its debut at the 11th position on the Billboard 200 for the week (week ending June 6). Earlier, RM held the record at the position No.26 with his track ‘mono’. Breaking RM’s record at the Billboards weekly chart, Suga becomes the solo Korean artist to reach the 11th position with his track.
As per the reports, Suga’s ‘D-2’ has been sold over 14,000 copies and the sales are still counting.
