BTS’s DNA Becomes First Korean Song To Have 1.3 Billion Views On YouTube
Kpop sensation, BTS breaks record in South Korea garnering 1.3 billion views on their peppy song, DNA
South Korean idol group, BTS is known for breaking several records effortlessly. The seven members band breaks yet another record. The boyband has garnered around 1.3 billion views on their hit song, DNA becoming the first boy’s group to achieve such a feat within their country. The song was released in 2017. ARMY’s just can’t contain their happiness, as the group’s old songs are still performing well on all the platforms.
DNA was released in two versions-Korean and Japanese. The Korean version was released on YouTube on September 18, 2017. It is a lead single from their extended EP Love Yourself: Her. The lyrics for this song have been penned by Pdogg, Hitman Bang, Supreme Boi, KASS, Suga and RM. DNA was also the first song by a South Korean act to simultaneously break into Billboard’s Hot 100 and Billboard 200 main charts when it was released. It took 3 years, 9 months, 14 days, 5 hours, and 55 minutes for the song to achieve such as milestone.
Currently, BTS members- Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, J-Hope and V are gearing up to release Butter CD. The boyband will be releasing two of the songs -Peaches and Cream in July. Off late a source from the Big Hit Music confirmed to the South Korean outlets that the boyband is all again collaborating with Ed Sheeran.
