BTS Leader RM Revealed Why He Broke Up With His High School Girlfriend

BTS’s RM aka Kim Namjoon is the leader of The Bangtan Boys. The 25-year old BTS member RM is a rapper, songwriter and record producer. RM — who released his first solo mixtape in 2015 — had once opened up about his love life.

Yes, the leader of K-pop boy band BTS, RM in an episode of Problematic Men, had made a startling revelation about her personal life. In the same episode, RM revealed that he had a girlfriend in High school.

Revealing the reason behind their split, RM said that they two shared some different values. BTS singer had also revealed that when he was in a relationship with her, she was quite popular with boys and that would often make him doubt himself.

Now, BTS singer RM might not have a problem with a lot of guy friends but it slightly bothered him in the past. RM’s past mindset didn’t want his girlfriend to have a lot of male friends and he took it as a problem leading to end their relationship.

Besides this, RM did not openly confess to having any other relationships in the past, some things he mentioned made fans suspicious.

Back in 2017, after an interview with Billboard, RM grabbed a lot of attention for the way he reacted to a question about the group’s album Love Yourself: Her. The interviewer said that he felt the whole album was really introspective and asked if it was meant to be this way. RM’s answer had left fans wondering if he had a secret girlfriend.

“I think that was the fastest work I did for this album. I wrote the verse in 20 minutes. It just came, very truthfully, from the bottom of my heart. I thought it was the right outro (“Outro: Her”) for this album because it is really a range of emotions. I’m saying I met this person that I really love, this person is the love of my life right now. I’m saying that I was confused and I was looking for love and this world is complex. But I think it’s you so, ‘I call you her, cause you’re my tear. I think you’re the start and the end of me.’ That’s what I’m saying: You’re my wonder, but you’re also my answers.” — RM said.
