BTS Shatters THIS Huge iTunes Record Of Adele
Social media played a huge role in getting Black Swan to the top of iTunes
BTS has added another record to its numerous list of accomplishments. The Korean boy band’s popular song Black Swan has topped the iTunes chart in Cape Verde. This makes it the 103rd country where the song has achieved this milestone. Black Swan has now reached No. 1 on iTunes in more countries than any other song. This record was previously held by Adele’s song Hello, which has held the record for almost five years with 102 countries.
In true BTS fashion, social media played a huge role in getting Black Swan to the top of iTunes. The BTS ARMY rocketed the song up the iTunes charts in Nepal, Zimbabwe, and Cape Verde allowing it to break Adele’s record. Moreover, the accomplishment was celebrated by fans over Twitter with ‘BTS WORLD DOMINATION’ trending on the social media platform.
Black Swan was released in January and it is the first single on Map of the Soul: 7. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The song talks about the band members dealing with the fear of losing their passion for music.
BTS is one of the first K-pop bands to break out with global recognition. The band has fans all over the world and their popularity doesn’t seem to be dying down. Their recent Bang Bang Con: The Live concert broke a virtual attendance record, with over 750,000 fans tuning into the paid concert live stream.
Fans of the band have much to look forward to as BTS has already announced a new album in the works. Moreover, BTS member V caused quite an uproar amongst fans when he shared a song teaser recently.
