The much-awaited part one of the Brahmastra trilogy has finally got its release date. Yes, the Ayan Mukerji directorial that has real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt sharing screen space will hit the screens on December 4, 2020. The news was shared by Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter. The megastar further added that Ayan is not allowed to change the release date now.
Taking to Twitter, Big B wrote, “T 3429 BRAHMĀSTRA.. coming to cinemas on 4/12/20 & Ayan is NOT allowed to change it now!”

Earlier Ayan Mukerji had postponed the release of the movie. The reason he gave was that his VFX lead team requires more time. In order to achieve the dream of ‘Brahmastra’ to its complete potential, he said that he will have to forgo the Christmas 2019 release target.
‘Brahmastra’ happens to be the first installment of a planned trilogy. It also features Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The Dharma Production also has a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
It will be be released in 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor also has Yash Raj Films Shamshera in his kitty. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, has period drama Takht.
