Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film Brahmastra release is delayed once again. Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy Brahmastra featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan as well as Mouni Roy is now postponed to winter 2020.
According to a report by Freepressjournal, the magnum opus film’s release is delayed and postponed to winter 2020. For the unversed, the film revolves around the most powerful weapon of God called Brahmastra which is also broken into as well as hidden in several parts of India.
Meanwhile, the film is apparently in the last leg of it’s shoot with lead actors Ranbir, Alia and Amitabh Bachchan who are at present busy filming in Manali for the climax part of scenes. After Himachal Pradesh, the team will be all set to proceed to Varanasi for a song shoot just before calling it a wrap.
Previously, the film was targeted to be released in summer 2020. Now, that’s not the case. Reportedly, the film won’t be able to reach its specific target to the Summer 2020 deadline and so it will be pushed to winter 2020.
“A major chunk of VFX is still pending which includes the stuff shot with Shah Rukh Khan at a studio in Mumbai, and the plot that unfolds in Manali and Varanasi. The company working on the visual effects has conveyed to the producers that they won’t be able to get the film ready by Summer due to complexities in the visual effects, which has come across as a shock to everyone working on the film.” a source disclosed about the developments.
Hence, the makers of the film are now working on a release date which will be somewhere around in the last quarter of 2020.
